Modder ermaccer created an unofficial patch for Mortal Kombat 1’s PC version that allows 60fps in the intro, Fatal Blows, and Fatalities.

Mortal Kombat 1 has cinematics, intros, lethal blows, and fatalities all at 30 frames per second. This unapproved 60 feet patch, by definition, eliminates the majority of them from that cap. Don’t worry if the cinematic scenes continue to run at 30 feet.

As ermaccer pointed out, this 60fps patch may contain some graphical problems. Elements such as character features or eyes, for example, can be broken during newly capped parts. And, while all deaths are now at 60, their animations are still at 30fps.

While this is an excellent patch that most PC gamers welcome, it is not without flaws. The only ones capable of providing a robust 60fps fix will be themselves. However, given that Mortal Kombat 11 never received a 60fps patch for PC, it’s logical to assume that QLOC will skip unlocking the framerate for the games.

Mortal Kombat 1, which was released on September 19th, employs anti-tamper technology. Mortal Kombat 1 is one of the franchise’s most bloodthirsty entries to date and comes with polished action, skillfully updated combatants, and a story mode with a really good plot. For all Mortal Kombat fans this game is sure to blow your minds away.
