Nottingham Forest are expected to continue their signing spree, with Morgan Gibbs-White set to join the club from Wolves. The two clubs are close to reaching total agreement for a £42.5 million fee.

Of that amount, £35 million will be paid up-front, while £7 to £10 million will be available in the form of add-ons. The remainder will be more difficult to achieve, but could drive the fee up in due course. The medical for the transfer could be completed as soon as today, with an official statement expected later.

The attacking midfielder worked with Steve Cooper at the England youth level, and is set for a reunion now. He will be the 16th signing for the Tricky Trees, who have been building a totally new line-up to try and stay up in the Premier League.

Everton were interested in signing the player earlier this summer. But, Cooper was key in helping Forest achieve a breakthrough in negotiations. Morgan Gibbs-White was always the priority for the club in the window, and they are now set to get the deal done.

Wolves have signed Matheus Nunes from Sporting CP as the replacement for the 22-year-old for a club record fee. Nottingham Forest are not done in the transfer market yet, and could sign a couple more players before the transfer window closes on August 31.
