Mission: Mompossible First Look — Jung Min Ah & Dong Ha Lead KBS’s New Mom-vs-Mom Family Drama

Two families, five very different mothers, and one couple caught in the crossfire — KBS 1TV’s upcoming weekday drama Mission: Mompossible just dropped its first posters, and the family-comedy chaos is already visible.

Mission: Mompossible- Overview

What’s the Story About?

The drama centers on Kang Da Mi (Jung Min Ah) and Cha Seung Yoon (Dong Ha), a couple whose relationship pulls together two households built on completely opposite values. One mother has spent her life devoted entirely to her family, sacrificing her own wants along the way, while the other has lived unapologetically for herself. Add three more mothers into the mix, each with her own agenda and something she’s determined to protect, and the setup promises equal parts warmth and comic friction.

The newly released posters lean into that dynamic — one shows all five mothers affectionately swarming the young couple, who look charmingly overwhelmed, while the second recreates a mock family portrait with the mothers beaming and the couple looking utterly out of their depth.

Why Weekday Dramas Like This Still Work

KBS has long built a loyal daytime audience around family-centric weekday series, a format that has powered Korean television for decades thanks to its longer runs and multigenerational appeal. Mission: Mompossible fits squarely into that tradition, banking on relatable family tension rather than high-concept plotting to keep viewers tuning in daily.

Both leads bring familiar faces to the project — Jung Min Ah previously starred in medical drama Doctor John, while Dong Ha is known for his role in Suspicious Partner, giving the pairing built-in audience recognition before a single episode airs.

What to Expect Next

With the premiere just weeks away, expect a full trailer and additional character posters to roll out soon. Given the ensemble’s comedic framing, Mission: Mompossible looks poised to be a lighter, family-first alternative in KBS’s weekday lineup.
