Mirzapur Opening Weekend India Box Office: Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal & Divyenndu starrer collects SUPERB Rs 92 crore in 3 days

Mirzapur: The Movie is proving that some franchises only get stronger on the big screen. The Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Divyenndu starrer closed its opening weekend with a massive Rs 91.50 crore nett in India, powered by a strong 35% jump on Sunday alone that shows zero signs of the film slowing down.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film is performing especially well in the Delhi-UP circuit, where it’s recording bumper occupancy across all major centers. Trade watchers have already tagged it a Super Hit, and if weekday numbers hold steady, it has a genuine shot at reaching Blockbuster status. Strong word-of-mouth appears to be the biggest driver behind its consistent day-on-day growth, a trend expected to continue into the weekdays.

While Mirzapur continues its dominant run, it isn’t without competition — Hanuman Ansh remains a strong performer this week too. Since both films cater to different audience segments, trade experts believe they can comfortably coexist without cannibalizing each other’s business. Globally, Mirzapur has already crossed Rs 132 crore in its opening weekend haul.

The film builds on the massive popularity of the original Mirzapur web series, part of the broader boom in India’s web television industry that has reshaped how crime dramas reach audiences.
