The Bosnian international who was part of the Arthur swap deal has finally arrived at Barcelona having suffered from COVID-19, his journey to Camp Nou got delayed. Now, finally, the 30-year old has arrived at the city to be part of Koeman’s team.
He has arrived at El Prat Airport on Thursday evening, and he also interacted with the club media “today is a very special day for me and I’m very happy. I can’t wait to meet my new team-mates and I’m really looking forward to the new season. I hope I can help the team to win a lot of titles. I’m ready and I’m going to try to do everything I can for this club.”
“I feel ready and recovered. I have had a couple of weeks at home, but I have tried to stay fit. Now I’m looking forward to joining the group.”
The ex-Juventus player had been a major part of the team’s success in the Serie-A, was in Barca’s radar for quite some time. Getting him, sacrificing Arthur was heavily criticized by all, however, he is here to play as a preferred defensive midfielder role at the club under Koeman and we are all looking forward to this season.
