What Is TYSON About?
The series follows the “Baddest Man on the Planet” from his meteoric rise to the personal struggles that made headlines. Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history at age 20 in 1986, and Netflix describes the show as an unflinching look at the man behind the gloves. It will draw on archival footage and interviews with Tyson himself.
The story doesn’t shy away from the rough parts. Netflix says it will cover a period of incarceration, money troubles, substance abuse and in-ring controversies, along with his eventual redemption.
