Microsoft Xbox Game Pass for PC is now available to 40 new countries

Microsoft has announced that the Xbox Game Pass PC offering will be expanded to 40 new countries. The tech titan’s subscription service has grown to be one of gaming’s most popular services over the years. With PC Game Pass now available in a slew of new countries, Xbox Game Pass is poised to grow in popularity and user base even further.

Since its inception in 2017, Microsoft’s gaming subscription service has come a long way. Although Microsoft has failed to meet its annual Xbox Game Pass growth targets in recent years, its broad appeal remains a popular choice among gamers, particularly on PC. Xbox CEO Phil Spencer stated that PC subscriber gains have been “incredible,” with PC Game Pass growing by up to 159% year on year by October 2022. Microsoft’s most recent PC Game Pass announcement suggests that the company is doubling down on this rapidly growing segment.

According to Jerret West, Xbox’s CVP of Gaming Marketing, a preview version of the PC Game Pass is now available in 40 new countries. Beginning February 28, players can sign up for the service through the Xbox Insider Hub app, where they will be given a preview of PC Game Pass as well as a “special testing price” for the first month. PC Game Pass, like other service offerings, will provide subscribers with access to hundreds of PC games, including day-one Xbox Game Studios releases, as well as an EA Play membership on Xbox Game Pass.
