Xiaomi’s next flagship devices will be a part of the Mi 12 Series, the Xiaomi 12 Series to be technically sound, we have come across some details with respect to these devices now months away from the launch.
According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the Xiaomi 12 will be codenamed “Cupid” whereas the top model of the lineup, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra will bear the moniker “Zeus”. Considering Zeus is the king of Greek gods, Xiaomi appears to have gone with a rather ambitious codename.
The Xiaomi 12 Series is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 processor with a 4nm architecture.
According to prior reports, the Xiaomi 12 could be released as late as December of 2021. We can also hope for a November release but nothing is clear as of yet. A November release could mean that the Xiaomi 12 Series would launch with MIUI 12.5 enhanced out-of-the-box, with an MIUI 13 update to follow up when Xiaomi makes the next iteration of its software public.
Since these are all speculative in nature, we advise you to take them with a grain of salt. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun already has confirmed a year-end debut for the MIUI 13, this could mean November or December, it would be rather surprising to see the Xiaomi 12 release without MIUI 13. The Xiaomi 12 Pro and 12 Ultra will be released much later next year.
