MetaMisfits partners with Polygon Studios & FanClash to organize India’s first blockchain-based play-to-earn esports tournament- AxieUtsav

  • AxieUtsav, which will be held on 25th December in Kolkata, is India’s first block chain based play to earn event.
  • The title sponsor for the event is Polygon and polygon studios, and the Co-sponsor is FanClash.

Kolkata, 21st December 2021, MetaMisfits, a pioneering firm operating in the domain of Yield Farming in the Metaverses, lending and renting of NFTs, Virtual Asset Management, educational content creation consultancy, and Esports event organizers. The new-age startup is all set to organize India’s first block chain based play-to-earn esports tournament in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on 25th December 2021. The event comes in collaboration with Axie infinity (a top ethereum based play to earn game) and Community Gaming, a platform that provides esports infrastructure to up-and-coming esports organizers.

Speaking on the merry occasion, Ajoy Das, CEO, and Founder, MetaMisfits, said, “It is indeed an honor for us to be able to become the first organizers of a blockchain-based play to earn Esports tournament in India. AxieUtsav is a title sponsored by Polygon and polygon studios, a leading name in the Ethereum scaling domain that is best known for its developer-friendly services in the blockchain industry. The event is co-sponsored by FanClash which is Asia’s biggest fantasy gaming platform. This gaming tournament will provide an opportunity for both new and veteran gamers to earn money through gaming in an authorized manner.

Richa Singh, Co-Founder, FanClash, also shared her views on the event by saying, “FanClash is pleased to be a part of this venture. FanClash is soon launching the largest assortment of esports NFTs and collectibles featuring players, teams and moments, and much more. The firm holds immense faith in the promise of play to earn games, block chain, NFTs in the Indian market and seeks to support its implementation as much as it can.”

MetaMisfits hopes that this event would transform the gaming industry in India and stabilize it in terms of future growth. The firm also seeks to open up new opportunities for struggling artists in the gaming industry and to achieve the same they would be hosting an art exhibition as well as comprehensive workshops on NFTs, Web3, Blockchain to raise the awareness of the youth in these sectors.

The one-of-its-kind gaming festival would be the first official Axie Infinity eSports tournament and will award a prize pool of a whopping 160 AXS (Axie Infinity Shards) which amounts up to almost 13 lakh INR to its lucky winners. 64 contestants from across the country would compete for this impressive monetary prize on the 25th at Choudhury House, Kolkata, and West Bengal.
