The underground dystopia that’s rivaled Severance for Apple TV’s crown jewel is back. Silo Season 3, Episode 1 — “Who Are You?” — premieres this week, and it’s splitting time between Juliette’s uncertain present and a brand-new “Before Times” storyline centuries in the past.

What Happens in Episode 1?
Juliette Nichols survives her forced “cleaning” outside the silo — but returns as the new mayor with no memory of what happened, or of her own past. As the silo recovers from rebellion and braces for a fresh threat, the season also jumps back to the mysterious “Before Times,” following journalist Helen and congressman Daniel in a pre-apocalyptic, present-day setting.

Why This Season Is Different
Unlike earlier seasons that released episodes in batches, Season 3 rolls out weekly, all ten episodes stretching from July 3 through September 4. It also marks the show’s first real dive into a dual timeline, pulling from Hugh Howey’s prequel novel Shift to finally start answering how the silos came to exist in the first place.
Who’s Back (and New)
Rebecca Ferguson returns as Juliette, joined by Common, Colin Hanks, Ashley Zukerman, Jessica Henwick, and Alexandria Riley. The series is based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling Silo trilogy — Wool, Shift, and Dust — and has already been renewed for a fourth and final season to close out the story.
