Every K-drama fake-fiancée arc eventually hits the same wall: the grandmother interview. In the latest preview for tvN’s “Spooky in Love,” Park Eun Bin’s character walks straight into one — and there’s no dodging this particular ghost-adjacent grilling.

From Fake Fiancé to Family Interrogation
In the show’s previous episode, Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin) stunned her own family by suddenly introducing Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong) as her fiancé, all while under pressure to get engaged to Kang Min Hwan (Ong Seong Wu). Now the tables have turned — newly released stills show Yeo Ri escorting a drunk Gang Wook home, only to run straight into his sharp-eyed grandmother, Paeng Myo Soon (Cha Mi Kyung).
An Ambush She Didn’t See Coming
Yeo Ri had every intention of dropping Gang Wook off and heading straight home. Instead, she’s cornered by his grandmother, who’s been dying to know more about her grandson’s love life. The stills capture the contrast perfectly: Yeo Ri wears an awkward, caught-off-guard smile, while Paeng Myo Soon’s expression mixes sharp curiosity with visible suspicion as she sizes up the woman standing in front of her.
The two end up sitting down together at Gang Wook’s house, where the grandmother wastes no time firing off a nonstop barrage of questions — the kind of impromptu vetting session no fake fiancée is ever fully prepared for.
