K-pop collab stages always bring a special kind of excitement, and this year’s SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer just delivered a genuinely fresh one — a cross-group unit built entirely from rookie rising stars.
Introducing SUMMER ANJELS
On July 20, organizers announced a special collaboration unit called SUMMER ANJELS, bringing together members from three different groups: Hearts2Hearts’ Ian and Stella, MEOVV’s Anna and Ella, and izna’s Bang Jeemin. Ian will pull double duty, also serving as an MC for the event.
| Member | Group |
|---|---|
| Ian | Hearts2Hearts |
| Stella | Hearts2Hearts |
| Anna | MEOVV |
| Ella | MEOVV |
| Bang Jeemin | izna |
Where The Name Comes From
The unit name itself is a clever touch: SUMMER ANJELS was built by taking one letter from each member’s name — A from Ian, N from Anna, J from Bang Jeemin, E from Ella, and L from Stella, spelling out “ANJELS.”
The production team described the five as possessing “exceptional talent and a unique aura,” teasing a performance unlike anything fans have seen. More collaboration stages are expected to be revealed in the lead-up to the event.
When And Where
The 2026 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer takes place August 9 at KINTEX in Goyang. The festival, first launched in 1996 as a year-end tradition, expanded into a biannual event in 2024 with its first-ever summer edition — and it’s clearly leaning into fresh cross-group collaborations to keep things exciting.
