What’s New in Season 5?

Gambit Arrives First
The Ragin’ Cajun joins as a Strategist on November 14, wielding his signature kinetic cards. His ultimate ability, “Ragin’ Royal Flush,” locks onto allies to heal and purify them with explosive Aces. Voice actor A.J. LoCascio (X-Men ’97) brings the character to life.

Rogue Coming in Season 5.5
The power-absorbing southern belle arrives mid-season, though her exact abilities remain under wraps. Based on leaks, she’ll likely be a Duelist or Vanguard capable of absorbing enemy powers.

FAQs

Will my Season 4.5 rank carry over to Season 5?

Not directly. Season 5 introduces a new ranked system with 10 Placement Matches that determine your starting rank. Your previous performance may influence placements, but NetEase hasn’t revealed the exact algorithm. This eliminates the harsh seasonal resets that previously dropped players multiple divisions. After placements, you’ll continue climbing from your new starting point without the frustrating early-season grind.

Can I play both Gambit and Rogue immediately when Season 5 launches?

No. Only Gambit releases with Season 5 on November 14, 2025. Rogue arrives later during the Season 5.5 mid-season update, similar to how Daredevil launched mid-Season 4. NetEase hasn’t announced Rogue’s exact release date, but mid-season updates typically occur 3-4 weeks after the season starts. This staggered release keeps content fresh throughout the season and gives players time to master Gambit before Rogue joins the battlefield.
