Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a transfer for Rennes star Eduardo Camavinga after they wrap up the deal for Jadon Sancho this summer. The Borussia Dortmund star only wants to move to Old Trafford this summer, and the two clubs have never been closer to an agreement. The move could officially go through right after the Euros.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is also keen to add a midfielder in addition to a centre-back this summer, and Camavinga is viewed as one of the best options to be recruited. United missed out on Jude Bellingham last summer, who ended up joining Dortmund. And the French star is now viewed as the alternative to the former Birmingham player.

Camavinga only has a year left on his current contract with Rennes, and the club are willing to agree a transfer fee for him this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2022. He has also been scouted by other European giants like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG, along with Arsenal.

The teenage midfielder is viewed as one of the brightest talents for the future, and United could get a great deal for him considering he does not have much longer left on his current deal with Rennes. He has already made his debut for the French national team and is appreciated by United star Paul Pogba.

The club only view the Frenchman as a potential target, and no formal approach has been made as of yet.
