Main Vaapas Aaunga Box Office: A Mini-Dhurandhar Comeback Story in the Making

Just when everyone had written it off, Main Vaapas Aaunga is proving that a slow-burn box office journey can still have a happy ending. The Imtiaz Ali directorial has clocked its best single-day collection yet — and the momentum keeps building.

Main Vaapas Aaunga: Overview

A Slow Start, A Strong Comeback

The film’s second Saturday collection marked a massive 125% jump from its second Friday and an even bigger 145% leap over its first Saturday. Delhi-NCR and East Punjab continue to be its strongest markets, contributing nearly half of daily collections, while Mumbai and Mysore are also picking up steam.

What’s Driving the Turnaround?

Despite facing heavy showcasing cuts early in its second week, the film clawed back screen space as the week progressed, helping collections climb steadily. The second weekend is projected to land around Rs. 12-12.50 crore — more than double the first weekend and on par with the entire first week’s total.

Many in the trade are now comparing its trajectory to that of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which similarly opened on a low note before gathering strength.
