Mahindra has been making waves with its recent SUVs, the carmaker has teased its fanbase with a video of what is likely the Mahindra XUV900 Electric Coupe. This car is a part of the brand’s ‘born electric’ range of electric SUVs that will be launching on the 15th of August.
Mahindra XUV900 features elements of Formula E in its performance:
The upcoming XUV900 will not just be from the ‘born electric range’ but will also be a global SUV. This SUV is designed at the Mahindra Advanced Design Europe or MADE facility under Pratap Bose, the CDO (Chief Design Officer).
We have access to a teaser from the carmaker where it shared a glimpse of the interiors of the upcoming SUV where a square-shaped steering wheel with its log can be seen on the display. The central dashboard area will stretch to the back of the vehicle, separating the driver and passenger sections.
In addition to this, Mahindra shares how it has integrated its learnings from Formula E into the upcoming car. A while back, the automaker released a teaser that showed off a unique aerodynamic design of the wheels.
With decreasing air drag, an increase in the range of EVs, and the lowest drag coefficients among any other car that has been made in India, the XUV900 Coupe is coming to reign over the markets and not just be any other EV. The car will be available to the masses in 2023 or 2024 at the latest.
Mahindra is also expected to launch the XUV 300 under the same ‘born electric’ tagline. Back at the 2018 Auto Expo in India, the manufacturer displayed a coupe SUV that was based on its flagship SUV, the XUV 500. The model was called XUV Coupe and was a concept car that showcased the future of Coupe vehicles.
