Madden NFL 22 is coming on 20th August across all platforms, however, EA Play Pro members get early access to play the game that too the Dynasty Edition of the game. You can now easily get access to the EA Play Pro membership.
With EA Play Pro subscription, I was able to get hands-on experience of the new game much earlier than anyone, and here’s the first look that I will share along with what can you expect from the new version of the game.
Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes are the two Madden NFL 22 cover stars as EA has featured two cover athletes for the first time in 12 years.
Here are some other improvements coming to Madden NFL 22.
- Home-field advantage.
- A coaching tree is being included.
- Later, the scouting will be updated.
- The franchise will be featured more than 35 new scenarios.
- Finally, the super bowl presentation will be different.
- Superfans will be in the stadium.
- Halftime adjustment will add some realism to the flow of the game.
- The face of the Franchise is back.
- The PS4 and Xbox One versions are also getting updates.
The game size on PC via EA Play Pro is around 42 GB but you can play the game even before it completes the full download.
After starting the game for the first time, you will have to play an exhibition match that clearly shows the new additions and improvements from the last edition.
This is the new Post Game report screen after you have completed playing the first match. You will then have access to the Main screen of Madden NFL 22.
After getting access to the menu, I tried out the game in High settings on my Computer.

I was getting around 150 FPS in-game and a bit lower during animated celebrations.
There are some enhanced controls in-game to give you more control over your team’s in-game play. The haptic feedback on my Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller was also on point.
One of the innovative changes in this game is the Homefield advantage. It seems that a Homefield’s challenge is not gonna be in ramped-up volume and roaring crowds. Teams that are playing Broncos a mile above the sea level will face a harder time regaining stamina, for example.
The gameplay producer of Madden NFL 22, Clint Oldenburg said, “Not a regular-season game, not a playoff game. When I was at the line of scrimmage, I couldn’t hear anything. All I could hear was the crowd.”
“It’s not so powerful that you’re going to need them to be successful. They’re just little boosts and penalties here and there to make you feel emotionally connected to that environment.”
The following players are starting the 2021 season with the elusive 99 overall rating:
- Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs
- Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay Packers
- Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
- Aaron Donald, DE, Los Angeles Rams
- Jalen Ramsey, CB, Los Angeles Rams
The game will release on 20th August for the Xbox console family, PlayStation 4/5, PC, and Stadia. The early access date for the fully functional demo began on 12th August. If you pre-order the Dynasty or MVP edition you’ll be eligible to play three days early from 17th August.
