MacBook deals are available. MacBook buyers have real money to save right now. As The Verge rounds up the best MacBook deals for April 2026, discounts are hitting both the MacBook Air M3 and MacBook Pro M4 lines — some dropping prices by over $200. Whether you’re upgrading or buying your first Mac, this is a strong window.

Current MacBook Discounts Explained

Amazon and Best Buy are both running discounts on multiple MacBook models right now. The 13-inch Air M3 has dropped to around $899 (down from $1,099), while the 15-inch M3 is going for about $1,099. The 14-inch Pro M4 base model is sitting closer to $1,499. These aren’t one-day flash sales either — they’ve stayed steady through early April 2026, which means you’re looking at a real opportunity, not something that’ll vanish by tomorrow.

Why These MacBook Deals Matter Right Now

Apple rolled out M4 chips in its Pro lineup back in late 2024, and the Air M3 has been around long enough that retailers want to clear stock. That’s what’s really driving these prices down — they’re making room for what might come next. Here’s the thing: the M3 still crushes video editing, coding, and heavy multitasking. For most people, waiting for the next chip generation doesn’t actually pan out the way you’d hope.

MacBook Deals: The Key Numbers

Model	Regular Price	Deal Price	You Save
Air 13″ M3	$1,099	$899	$200
Air 15″ M3	$1,299	$1,099	$200
Pro 14″ M4	$1,599	$1,499	$100

If you’re also looking at Apple tablets, iPad Air M2 deals are dropping below $500 at some retailers this month too.

What Buyers and Analysts Are Saying

Tech deal watchers are calling this one of the biggest Air M3 discount runs of 2026. Over on Reddit’s r/AppleDeals, people keep flagging the $899 Air as the best value in Apple’s current lineup. For students and first-time Mac buyers especially, these Air prices combined with iPad discounts make April a genuinely stacked month for Apple hardware deals.

What to Watch Next

If Apple announces an Air M4 at WWDC 2026 in June, the M3 prices will probably drop even further. Check Amazon and Best Buy weekly through May to catch any deeper cuts. The Pro M4 discount is smaller right now — if you’re not in a hurry, waiting might get you a better deal.
