Lost Soul Aside launches August 29, 2025, on PC and PlayStation 5, bringing Devil May Cry-inspired combat with four unique weapon types. After over 10 years of development, Yang Bing’s ambitious project showcases seamless weapon swapping and deep customization systems in its latest gameplay trailer.

Lost Soul Aside Complete Weapon Breakdown

Combat System Features

The game’s standout feature is seamless weapon swapping mid-combo, allowing players to launch enemies with one weapon and slam them down with another. This system enables creative combat combinations reminiscent of high-tier Devil May Cry and Bayonetta gameplay.

Weapon customization uses special fragments discovered throughout the game. These fragments alter weapon appearance, enhance combat capabilities, boost healing, and upgrade protagonist Kaser’s fighting style. Players can experiment with unique fragment combinations for powerful effects.

Character Progression & Skills

Lost Soul Aside incorporates RPG elements through a dedicated Skill Tree system. Players unlock new abilities that boost damage, enhance healing, and generate protective shields, granted by the dragon-like creature Arena.

The Fusion Gauge system fills through attack combos, allowing players to summon Arena’s claws for devastating strikes. This upgradeable skill unlocks new combat techniques as players progress through Kaser’s mission.

Timing-Based Combat Mastery

Precision timing during weapon combos delivers high-impact bursts of strength for devastating results. This mechanic rewards skilled players with enhanced damage output and spectacular visual effects.

Pre-orders are available through Steam and PlayStation Store ahead of the August 29 launch.
