Liverpool’s 3 most recent signings prove their effective transfer strategy

Liverpool’s transfer strategy over the last few years has been exceptional. The Reds have refrained from spending unreasonable amounts of money on players, like the trend in the transfer market. Instead, they have focused on players that fit well into the system of play that Jurgen Klopp employs with the first team.

The additions of Virgil Van Dijk, Alisson and Mohamed Salah helped provide an initial boost to Klopp’s line-up. But their recruitment since then has been very targeted and efficient.

Over the last two transfer windows, Liverpool have only signed two players. In January, they signed Luis Diaz from Porto for a fee worth €40 million plus €20 million in add-ons to be paid over five years. The winger has made a big impact right from his first minutes with the team, and is proving to be a very good signing.

Liverpool’s effective transfer strategy shows how well the club is run

Ibrahima Konate is the only player that Liverpool recruited at the start of the season. He was signed from RB Leipzig for €35 million, and has been very effective in his short spell with the club.

He scored a header against Manchester City to help the team into the finals of the FA Cup and keep their hopes of a quadruple alive.

The next on the list is talented youngster Fabio Carvalho from Fulham, who will join the club in the summer. But, it remains to be seen how the youngster will fare under Jurgen Klopp.
