‘Liar’ First Teaser: Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin Reunite a Decade After ‘Dr. Romantic’ in Gripping Psychological Thriller

Ten years after stealing hearts together in Dr. Romantic, Yoo Yeon Seok and Seo Hyun Jin are reuniting — but this time, their chemistry turns into conflict. MBC’s upcoming psychological thriller Liar has just dropped its first teaser, and it’s already setting up a tense he-said-she-said mystery.

What The Teaser Shows?

Directed by Jo Young Min of You and Everything Else, Liar follows a man and woman who give completely contradictory accounts of the same memory, spiraling into a fierce battle over whose version of the truth is real. The teaser opens on a seemingly perfect first date between Kang Ji Sun (Seo Hyun Jin) and Min Joon Ho (Yoo Yeon Seok), before the mood darkens as Kang Ji Sun describes how everything changed overnight, as though none of it had been real.

Liar: Overview

A Battle of Conflicting Truths

The teaser shifts to what looks like a police interrogation room, where both leads take turns defending sharply opposing versions of the same incident, each accusing the other of lying and demanding accountability. Their once-loving dynamic collapses into raw anger and suspicion, building toward a final voice-over twist that flatly declares one of them the liar — without revealing which. The setup promises a tightly wound mystery anchored by two actors whose decade-old on-screen chemistry adds real emotional weight to the unraveling relationship.
