What’s Coming in “The Devil’s Road”?

According to the official synopsis, Episode 4 is packed with dramatic tension:

Armand begins an apology tour, reopening old, unresolved conflicts
Lestat lashes out publicly, humiliating a fan he personally invited to a concert
Louis seeks comfort in a familiar face amid his lingering grief

The episode title itself is notable — breaking from the season’s pattern of naming episodes after tour cities, hinting at a meaningful shift in tone as the story moves into darker territory.

Why the Show Renamed Itself

At San Diego Comic-Con 2025, showrunner Rolin Jones revealed that Interview with the Vampire would be rebranded as The Vampire Lestat for Season 3, since the show is now adapting the second novel in Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. Going forward, each season is expected to take the name of whichever Rice novel it’s adapting — a clever structural choice that mirrors the source material directly.

This season follows Lestat reinventing himself as a rock star, increasing his influence over both humans and vampires while being haunted by figures from his past, including the dramatic return of his mother, Gabrielle.
