As a part of the Chinese Autumn Festival Showcase, Lenovo, one of the world’s largest PC manufacturers had teased its Yoga 16s 2022. And despite having a new name, the device simply looks like the 16-inch version of the existing 14s, which in itself gives a strong impression of being a next-gen, slimmer ThinkBook 14s Yoga.
This new 16-inch device from Lenovo means that the OEM now revealed that the patently display-centric laptop will have a 2.5K resolution. Lenovo also states that this new potentially high-quality screen will be augmented with a maximum brightness rating of 500 nits, and will also come with HDR support and 100% of the sRGB colour space.
The earlier launched 14s laptop came with a refresh rate of 90Hz and even though the Yoga 16s 2022 will outdo it through by becoming Lenovo’s newest 120Hz touchscreen device on its launch. However, even though the OEM has teased the new device it has left the other specs of the laptop in dark, and it’s possible that the 14-inch counterpart has a Ryzen 7 5800HS platform and runs Windows 10.
As for other information, we are still waiting for official confirmation. It would be good though if we get the support of DDR5 memory along with a possible Alder Lake variant.
However, if it comes with windows 10 and Ryzen 5000 then it’s potential for more or less the same in the 16s, although it may ship with Windows 11 out of the box instead.
