Lenovo Legion Go rumored for September unveiling

The Lenovo Legion Go has appeared in multiple leaks and all of its details are now out in the open. Images of the handheld PC with detachable controllers have appeared, and rumors of it boasting an AMD Ryzen Z1 CPU, as well as data about its buttons and connectors, have also surfaced. More lately, it appears that everything you need to know about the device, including an official release date of later this week, is now available.

These data are provided by Windows Report, which cites a source with access to the Lenovo Legion Go’s official press release. The package appears to contain the device’s entire spec sheet. This supports the prior information about the processor, which goes “up to AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme”. The display, which is an 8.8-inch QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600) 16:10 panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, is also intriguing.

Other features of the Lenovo Legion Go include 16GB of RAM, 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of PCIe 4 M.2 NVMe SSD storage, and a 2Whr battery.

The presence of two USB-C ports, each of which supports USB 4.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and Power Delivery 3.0, is also verified. Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6E support are indicated as wireless technologies.

Aside from the specifications, the rumor states that the Lenovo Legion Go will be available on September 1st for US$799 (RM3714). It will not be available right away, as it is not expected until October.

Along with the Lenovo Legion Go, leaked promotional materials show the Legion Glasses and Legion E510 7.1 RGB Gaming In-Ear Headphones. The former is intended for use with the handheld PC, but it is said to be compatible with any device that connects to USB-C. The display was noted to be Micro OLED, with Full HD resolution for each eye. It also includes built-in speakers and a prescription lens frame.

The latter, with 7.1 surround sound, 10mm armature drivers, and RGB, is probably the least intriguing of the trio. All of this is powered by a USB-C port. Both accessories will be available alongside the main device. They cost $499 (RM2,319 in Malaysia) and EUR49.99 (RM251 in Europe).
