The Rainbow Five Are Back in Business

Based on a popular webtoon, “Taxi Driver” is a drama about a mysterious taxi service that delivers vengeance on behalf of victims who are unable to get justice through the law. The newly unveiled poster showcases the entire Rainbow Taxi team preparing for their most dangerous missions yet.

The five members—Kim Do Gi, CEO Jang, Ahn Go Eun, Choi Kyung Goo, and Park Jin Uhn—appear fully prepared for dispatch inside the lit underground hideout. The visual storytelling is powerful: the taxi’s headlights piercing through darkness symbolize hope for those failed by the justice system.

What Makes This Season Special?

The production team has promised even more spectacular action scenes, fun teamwork with the ‘Rainbow Five,’ and a colorful array of alter egos. Lee Je Hoon’s seamless return to the character has already impressed the production crew, who noted his ability to make the two-year hiatus completely irrelevant.

Adding international flavor to the Korean production, Hong Kong boy band Mirror member Edan Lui will make his Korean drama debut as a character who forms an unpredictable alliance with Kim Do-gi. This cross-border collaboration signals Taxi Driver 3’s ambition to expand its global appeal while maintaining its Korean storytelling roots.

Why Taxi Driver Resonates Globally

The series has become a phenomenon since its 2021 debut, tapping into universal themes of justice and accountability. Like other revenge-driven Korean dramas that have captivated audiences—including The Glory—Taxi Driver explores what happens when the legal system fails ordinary people.

The show’s success mirrors the broader K-drama boom, much like the excitement surrounding other action-packed series such as Black Knight and Seoul Vibe. What sets Taxi Driver apart is its unique blend of vigilante justice with heartfelt human stories.

Production Excellence Meets Global Reach

Viu and SBS announced the third season of the global hit series will premiere in Q4 2025 as a Viu original worldwide, excluding South Korea and mainland China, following the record-breaking performance of Season 2. This distribution strategy ensures maximum global accessibility for international fans.

The partnership between Viu and SBS continues to strengthen Korea’s position in the global streaming landscape. For fans interested in more Korean entertainment content, check out our coverage of Weak Hero Class 2 and the latest Baeksang Arts Awards nominations.
