Sources close to the couple revealed that despite attempts at counseling and reconciliation, they concluded that divorce was the healthiest option for their family.

Lee Beom Soo (53), known for his roles in Giant, City Hunter, and Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit, and Lee Yoon Jin (43), recognized for her work in My Daughter Seo-young and various variety shows, had been considered one of Korean entertainment’s stable couples. Their split has shocked fans who admired their public displays of family harmony.

The Communication Breakdown

“Lack of communication” in celebrity divorces often encompasses multiple underlying issues—conflicting work schedules, differing parenting philosophies, growing apart emotionally, and the pressures of maintaining public personas. For Lee Beom Soo and Lee Yoon Jin, their demanding entertainment careers reportedly left little time for nurturing their relationship.

Industry insiders suggest that Lee Beom Soo’s frequent travel for filming and Lee Yoon Jin’s commitments to variety shows created distance that became difficult to bridge. Despite their best efforts, the couple realized they had drifted into parallel lives rather than a shared partnership.
