Well, no one likes to start a new year by getting laid off, however, major tech giants like Twitter, Meta, HP, Amazon, and many more companies have been firing their employees. To make matters worse the software conglomerate Microsoft is also laying off employees and that news has made Twitter go crazy.

A lot of people are commenting on their views, making memes and also sharing about ones who have been sacked recently with #layoffs. Although layoffs have been going since 2022 the rate has suddenly been on a spike since the start of 2023 and reportedly a lot of experienced people are being sent off by their companies, especially by the giant tech companies.
