Lava SHARK 2 5G Launched at ₹11,999 — India’s Most Powerful Budget 5G Phone with a 6000mAh Beast Battery

India’s homegrown smartphone brand Lava International Limited has officially launched the SHARK 2 5G — a budget 5G powerhouse priced at just ₹11,999. Going on sale from June 10, 2026, at all Lava retail outlets, this phone is gunning hard to shake up the entry-level 5G market in India. Let’s break down what makes it worth your attention.

Lava SHARK 2 Specs

The 6000mAh Battery That Changes Everything

Let’s be real — at under ₹12,000, most phones either cut corners on battery or processing power. Lava refuses to do that with the SHARK 2 5G. A 6000mAh battery at this price point is genuinely rare, and backed by 18W fast charging, you’re looking at over 13 hours of screen-on time and 13+ hours of YouTube playback. For students, daily commuters, and heavy media consumers, this alone is a compelling buy.

The phone also comes with a 10W charger in-box, along with a Type-C cable and protection cover — thoughtful additions that budget buyers often miss.

Performance That Punches Above Its Weight

Under the hood, the SHARK 2 5G is driven by the Octa-core 6nm UNISOC T8200 processor — a chip built on a modern manufacturing node that delivers both efficiency and responsiveness. With an AnTuTu 11 benchmark score of over 5,00,000, this phone handles everyday multitasking, social media, streaming, and casual gaming without breaking a sweat.

The 4GB RAM + 4GB Virtual RAM configuration ensures smooth app switching, and the 5G connectivity support covers major Indian bands, so you’ll get full-speed network access across the country.

Clean Android 16 — A Rare Luxury at This Price

One of the most underrated wins here: Clean Android 16 with zero ads and zero bloatware. No pre-installed junk apps, no intrusive notifications trying to push products at you. This is increasingly uncommon even among phones twice the price, and it’s something Lava deserves real credit for.

If you’ve been annoyed by cluttered interfaces on budget phones, this one is a breath of fresh air. For more on what makes Lava’s lineup stand out, check out our Lava smartphone coverage on TechnoSports.

Design, Display & Durability

The SHARK 2 5G sports a 6.75-inch HD+ display running at 120Hz — smooth scrolling, vibrant visuals, and a large canvas for content. It comes in two good-looking colour variants: Sonar Gold and Arya Blue.

The IP64 dust and water resistance rating adds everyday durability, so minor rain splashes or dusty environments won’t be a problem. This kind of build quality at ₹11,999 reflects Lava’s serious intent with the SHARK series.

Camera & After-Sales Support

The 13MP AI Rear Camera and 5MP Selfie Camera cover the basics — social media shots, video calls, and everyday photography. Don’t expect flagship-level photography, but for the segment, it’s functional and AI-enhanced.

On the after-sales front, Lava’s Free Service @ Home initiative continues, offering doorstep support across India — a meaningful differentiator for users outside metro cities.
