Just weeks after its explosive debut, Netflix has pulled the trigger on more mayhem — Nemesis is officially renewed for Season 2, and the cat-and-mouse war between a cop and a thief is nowhere near done.

What Made Nemesis a Hit?

Created by Power mastermind Courtney A. Kemp and co-creator Tani Marole, the show debuted on May 14th, 2026, delivering a Heat-style rivalry between LAPD Detective Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law) and master thief Coltrane Wilder (Y’lan Noel). The eight-episode season dug deep into family, marriage, and morality — and clearly struck a nerve with audiences worldwide.

Nemesis: By the Numbers

Metric	Detail
Global views (first days)	7.1 million
Top 10 countries	83
Rotten Tomatoes score	90%
Season 1 episodes	8
Season 1 premiere	May 14, 2026

The show shot straight into the Top 10 in 83 countries, trailing only Berlin Season 2, while critics kept it sitting pretty at 90% — numbers that clearly gave Netflix the confidence to greenlight round two.

What’s Next for Stiles and Wilder?

Spoilers ahead. Season 1 ended in chaos: Stiles chose to save his son from a cartel bullet, letting Wilder walk free with a parting warning that he was never going to win.

Season 2 picks up the wreckage: Stiles has lost his badge, his gun, and his wife, while Wilder — separated from his pregnant wife after a hospital breakout — is now hunted by both the cartel and the LAPD. Expect the entire core cast to return as the manhunt intensifies.

Production is staying rooted in Los Angeles too, a win for local crews still recovering from the region’s recent wildfires.
