“Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness” airs episode 6 on Friday, July 31, 2026, at its usual slot on HBO, with a Max streaming release following shortly after. Only one episode remains after this one, with the series finale locked in for August 7.

The series pairs David with longtime “Curb Your Enthusiasm” collaborator Jeff Schaffer, backed by Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions. The concept is simple but sharp: take pivotal chapters of American history and filter them through David’s signature cranky, improvised comedic style — the same loose, outline-based approach that made. Curb Your Enthusiasm a long-running HBO comedy starring Larry David as a fictionalized version of himself.

Reception this season has been mixed rather than glowing, with critics noting that some sketches land harder than others. Still, the show has carved out a niche as a genuinely different way to mark the country’s 250th anniversary — equal parts tribute and roast.

With the finale just two weeks away, episode 6 is expected to keep the anthology format intact, likely diving into another slice of history ripe for the Larry David treatment. If you’re tracking other big shows wrapping up their seasons this summer, TechnoSports has more in its Technosports
