Some news deserves a handwritten note. On October 8, former LABOUM member Yujeong shared a photo of a letter on social media with happy news for her fans. She’s getting married this winter.
LABOUM Announcement
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Who | Yujeong, formerly of LABOUM |
| News | Marriage, planned for this coming winter |
| How she shared it | A photo of a handwritten letter on social media, plus wedding photos |
| Partner | Not named in the announcement |
| Preparation | About a year of planning at their own pace |
What She Wrote?
Yujeong began by recalling her last handwritten letter, written in September 2021 when she wrapped up a seven-year contract and her activities with LABOUM. It had been five years since then, and she said the time passed far faster than expected.
She looked back at what she’d done since: hosting K-FORCE SPECIAL SHOW since 2022, a program she described as feeling like family to LABOUM, and building bonds with military personnel. She also worked as a special radio DJ, released music, traveled widely (something she hadn’t done much in her 20s) and lived on her own, learning to slow down.
Then came the news. She said she has met a wonderful partner she plans to spend her life with. She had always seen herself as brave and independent, but he makes her feel loved every day and gives her comfort and security. The couple has spent the past year preparing carefully.
A Thank You to Fans
She also thanked people for their warm wishes over the years, saying that support gave her the courage to begin this new chapter. She asked fans to support her once more and promised to keep working hard and return as an even better version of herself.
Why Fans Are Smiling?
Fans watched Yujeong move from idol life to a new path, and this letter feels like a full circle. It’s personal, thoughtful and very much in her voice. You can learn more about her former group on the Laboum Wikipedia page.
