Not every box office win needs fireworks. Krishnavataram Part 1: Hridayam is doing something far more interesting — it’s holding steady, growing daily, and quietly building the kind of audience loyalty that turns small openers into long-running successes.

What Makes This Performance Interesting?
Look at that weekday trend — Tuesday saw a jump to Rs. 1.55 crore, higher than both Monday and the days that followed. That’s not typical for most films, and it’s a strong signal that positive word-of-mouth is actively driving new audiences to theatres mid-week.
Krishnavataram Part 1: Hridayam, directed by Hardik Gajjar and starring Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana, is a mythological fantasy romance drama built around the Krishna avatar. It’s a live-action mythological at a time when the genre is showing genuine commercial promise in Indian cinema.

The benchmark here is Mahavatar Narsimha from last year — an animated mythological that opened softly but exploded over the weekend and eventually collected Rs. 170 crore nett in Hindi. Krishnavataram hasn’t shown quite that kind of exponential weekend growth yet, but it’s building momentum in its own steadier way. There’s also the precedent of Laalo: Krishna Sada Sahayate, which was almost ignored in its first three weeks before going on to become a massive success — proof that mythological content can defy conventional box office patterns entirely.
The Rs. 15 crore mark looks very achievable by the end of Week 2, especially if the second weekend delivers a meaningful spike. For a film without a major star or franchise backing, that would be a genuinely solid result.
