Recently in the BGIS (Battlegrounds Mobile India Series) the CEO of Krafton has revealed his plan of expanding. In his interview he has shared his plan to launch as much as 3 new games for the players.
Krafton already has marvelous games including PUBG PC and Battleground Mobile India or popularly known as BGMI. Now the company is planning to launch more games to attract more players and to excite the existing ones.
However, there is no announcement on the specifications of the games, when they will be launched or anything else. All we have is this announcement and ideas of the Krafton CEO.
He has also shared that before the announcement the team had internal discussion for around two years. So we can expect that this announcement is not a spontaneous one, but has a serious background. What the Krafton company believes is that India is a great country with brilliant talent.
That is why, it is planning “to give proper resources and mentorship” to the young game developers who aspire to bring the most exciting and interesting games.
Krafton CEO’s New Announcement in Full? Why It Is Important?
From the very beginning the company is supporting budding game developers and not only providing them funds but also mentorship.
Also Krafton India has introduced the ‘Gaming Incubator’ program which is to nurture the new game developers in India. It is a funding initiative with the goal to develop the Indian game development industry. Krafton India also plans to nurture the game developers in India who have great talent and skills.
The funding program has a budget ranging from $50,000 to $150,000, that depends on project needs and different factors.
In his own words the Krafton CEO has stated, “We’re not ready to announce anything publicly yet, but we will announce something soon,” Sohn told IGN India. With this piece of information he has also shared that the Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra will be featured as an in – game character.
So, if you are a real athlete lover then you can look forward to it. In his interview the CEO also shared, “I believe the reception from esports fans within India has been very warm and very welcoming. So we will continue to look into what we can do in that regard. If there is anything we formally decided, we will announce it very soon,” Sohn said.
In the interview he has shared his fond memory of the BGMI game. He also mentioned how much he loved the India ki heartbeat documentary released by the Kraftron.
