What Is GIFT About?
Based on a popular webtoon, GIFT follows a former professional baseball pitching coach who gains a special ability after an unexpected accident. His new path leads him to become head coach of a high school team ranked dead last in the nation. It’s an underdog setup with a supernatural twist, and fans of sports dramas will recognise the appeal immediately.
Meet Coach Jung Min Yong
Kim Woo Bin plays Jung Min Yong, a coach who judges his players’ talents and limitations with a cool head and a discerning eye. He once believed strongly in effort and process, but a series of incidents pushes him to trust the talent he can see for himself. That shift sets up a compelling internal conflict for the character.
The First Look
The newly released stills show Kim Woo Bin radiating an intimidating aura, with a sharp gaze and solemn expression that stand out even off the field. Sunglasses and a whistle add to his commanding, almost unapproachable presence. Yet there’s warmth underneath: his genuine love for baseball shows in the way he steps onto the field alongside the players.
When and Where to Watch?
GIFT premieres on December 5 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN. Until then, fans can revisit Kim Woo Bin in Alienoid: Return to the Future on Viki. For more drama news, browse our K-drama updates on TechnoSports and our entertainment section.
