Breathless Love: Kim Hyang Gi and Ahn Dong Gu Move Two Floors Underground for Love

What happens when your dream home turns into a basement? That’s the question behind Breathless Love, the upcoming Korean film that has just confirmed its November release and revealed two charming posters.

A Love Story With No Address

Hwa Ran and Yi Wan are a couple in their 20s with plenty of dreams and very little cash. She’s an aspiring webtoon artist, and he’s an aspiring rapper. After a housing scam wipes out their rental deposit, they end up in a basement two floors underground. Their home, money and future are all uncertain, so the pair must hold onto their love while facing real-life struggles.

It’s a youthful survival romance, and for anyone who has ever hunted for an affordable flat, it will hit close to home.

Breathless Love: Overview

The Posters Say It All

The first poster puts the basement front and centre, with a tagline joking that a cheap home can’t also be a good one. It captures the film’s mix of humour and harsh reality.

The second, the “Paper House” poster, shows the couple house-hunting with an agent while paper houses fly around them. Its tagline sums up their plight with a smile: they have love but no home.

Why This One Is Worth Watching?

Despite their constant bickering, Hwa Ran and Yi Wan remain each other’s strongest support. That push and pull is what makes young love feel real and relatable. Kim Hyang-gi, known for her work in both film and drama, brings fresh energy opposite Ahn Dong Gu.

While you wait, you can catch Kim Hyang Gi in Moment of 18 and Ahn Dong Gu in Last Summer on Viki.
