Some updates are simple reminders that an artist’s wellbeing comes first. JYP Entertainment confirmed on September 1 that KickFlip‘s Amaru will remain on hiatus from group activities as he continues focusing on his health and recovery.

What the Agency Shared

In an official statement, JYP Entertainment thanked fans for their continued support of KickFlip before addressing Amaru’s ongoing absence. The agency confirmed that Amaru will keep receiving treatment and taking the time he needs to rest and recover. Following discussions between Amaru and the rest of the members, the group has decided to move forward with six members for their upcoming album and scheduled activities.

The statement also included an apology to fans who had been anticipating the group’s next promotions, emphasizing that the decision was made with Amaru’s health as the top priority. JYP noted they will continue monitoring his recovery closely and share further updates if anything changes.

A Group Moving Forward Together

Rather than pausing all activities, KickFlip is choosing to continue as a six-member lineup for now, with Kyehoon, Donghwa, Juwang, Minje, Keiju, and Donghyeon carrying forward the group’s upcoming release and schedule. This approach allows the group to maintain momentum while giving Amaru the space he needs, with the door clearly left open for his eventual return.
