The story follows Aamir Ali, who runs a vast gold-trading network spanning the Middle East, London, Nepal, and Kerala, exploring themes of power, legacy, and family heritage as he inherits his grandfather’s business empire. Mohanlal plays that grandfather figure, and though his role is limited to a cameo in this first installment, his character is expected to have a far bigger presence in the sequel.
This generational-legacy theme of passing down power and empire echoes classic storytelling arcs seen across gangster film history — a genre known for exploring family, ambition, and inheritance.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s slate stays packed. He’ll next appear in Athimanoharam as a police officer opposite Meera Jasmine, releasing December 24, 2026, and has also announced projects including L367, a film marking Priyadarshan’s 100th directorial venture, and Nedukandam Miracle with Dileesh Pothan. He’s also expected to cameo in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, releasing October 16, 2026.
