Kerry Washington’s Innocent Girl: Production Essentials

A Deadly Game of Seduction

The plot centers on Sophie Walker, a fresh-out-of-Harvard idealist who arrives in Washington with dreams of changing the world. Instead, she finds herself seduced by the ultimate power couple—the Vice President and her husband—and drawn into a clandestine affair that spirals into a dangerous web of sex, power, and murder.

This provocative premise explores timeless themes of corruption, ambition, and moral compromise within America’s political elite. The setting in the nation’s capital adds layers of intrigue, suggesting that the most dangerous secrets aren’t kept in classified files—they’re hidden behind closed bedroom doors.

Star-Studded Cast Ready to Ignite

Kerry Washington returns to Netflix in what could be her most daring role yet. The Emmy-nominated actress, known for her commanding presence in Scandal, brings legitimacy and intensity to the project. Washington also serves as executive producer, ensuring creative control over this bold narrative. Her recent Netflix collaborations include Tyler Perry’s The Six Triple Eight and the upcoming Knives Out sequel Wake Up Dead Man.

James Marsden steps into the role of the Vice President, adding his signature charm and complexity to what promises to be a morally ambiguous character. Best known as Cyclops in the X-Men franchise and his role in the Sonic the Hedgehog films, Marsden has proven his versatility across genres.

Chloe East portrays Sophie Walker, the naïve yet ambitious protagonist whose journey from idealism to corruption drives the story. Following her breakthrough in films like The Fabelmans and Heretic, East continues building an impressive resume with this high-profile Netflix project.
