Mohun Bagan captain Pritam Kotal has made the move to Kerala Blasters, with Sahal Samad moving in the opposite direction. Kotal will be earning a salary higher than any other Indian player in the Kerala Blasters squad once he completes his move.

Kotal is among the best Indian defenders in the league, and will be bringing a wealth of experience to his new team. He will also be expected to eventually showcase his leadership qualities at the heart of defense, once he has grown accustomed to the rest of the squad.

However, the loss of Samad will be a huge one for the Blasters, who will have to pay a hefty fine for walking out of the semi final last season.
