The K-drama world just got an exciting casting update! On April 16, KBS2’s upcoming drama Sleeping Doctor officially confirmed Kim Sung Cheol as the male lead, starring opposite Jin Ki Joo. If you’ve been following Korean dramas closely, this pairing is already giving us major excitement.

What Is Sleeping Doctor About?

Sleeping Doctor is a romantic comedy that centres on Hong Gyeong (Jin Ki Joo), a rookie self-employed clinic owner, and Nam Ji Oh (Kim Sung Cheol), a jack-of-all-trades pay doctor, as their lives unfold at a struggling private psychiatric clinic.

Think opposites attract — set inside a chaotic mental health clinic. The premise alone sounds like a perfect weekend binge!

Kim Sung Cheol’s Character: Who Is Nam Ji Oh?

Kim Sung Cheol plays Nam Ji Oh, a member of Healer Mental Health Clinic who has medical knowledge across all fields and fights to revive the struggling clinic.
