Kattalan Release Date Confirmed — The Marco Universe Is About to Get a Whole Lot More Dangerous on May 28!

If Unni Mukundan’s Marco left you craving more raw, unapologetic Malayalam action, brace yourself — because the next chapter of that cinematic universe is officially locked in. Kattalan, the upcoming high-octane action thriller starring Antony Varghese Pepe, has a confirmed worldwide release date of May 28, 2026, and the buzz is already building hard.

Kattalan — All the Key Details at a Glance

What’s Kattalan About?

Kattalan is touted to be a high-octane action thriller centred around ivory smuggling and vengeance. The film is set in the same shared cinematic universe as Marco, with the character poster of Siddique revealing him as George D’Peter confirming this connection. In other words, if you loved the brutal, immersive world of Marco, Kattalan is essentially the next thrilling chapter — and that is an incredibly exciting proposition.

The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast alongside Antony Varghese Pepe, including Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Parth Tiwari of Kill fame, Jagadish, Dushara Vijayan, Siddique, Raj Tirandasu, Shon Joy, and Anson Paul. Adding to the excitement, the background score and music are handled by none other than B. Ajaneesh Loknath of Kantara fame — a composer who knows exactly how to make your pulse race.

Why the Delay?

Initially slated for May 14, 2026, the makers have decided to push the release by a couple of weeks to May 28. No official reason was stated, but with a project of this scale, getting every detail right is clearly the priority — and frankly, a little more wait for a film this promising is absolutely worth it.

What’s Next for Antony Varghese Pepe?

Beyond Kattalan, Pepe has an exciting lineup ahead. He will next appear in I’m Game, starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by Nahas Hidayath — a high-stakes action venture set in the world of gambling — and also has Thottam – The Demesne in his pipeline, co-starring Keerthy Suresh.
