Vijay Shekhar Sharma’s Perspective: Money and Life

When Kapil asked, “How much is enough to live life?”, Vijay Shekhar Sharma replied with humility and humor:
“To live life, I genuinely think all you need is enough for food, drink, and basic clothes—what more does life need than ₹1–2 lakh a month?” Sharma’s down-to-earth view struck a chord among achievers and common folks alike. Kapil, never missing a beat, quipped, “Toh utna rakh ke baaki hume Paytm kar den (So keep that much and Paytm us the rest),” sending the audience into peals of laughter.

How Did PayTM Start? The Inventor’s Real-Life Story

Kapil pulled back the curtain on PayTM’s beginnings. Sharma revealed that a missed wallet during foreign travel inspired him:
“I landed for an international trip, realized my wallet was left in Delhi’s lounge, and only had my phone. It struck me: since everyone always has a phone, why not merge the wallet with your phone?”
Necessity became the mother of invention — leading to India’s favorite digital wallet.
