K-Drama’s Most Beloved Real-Life Couple Is No More — Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung Confirm Split After 14 Years

This one genuinely hurts. Jung Kyung Ho and Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung — one of the Korean entertainment industry’s most iconic and long-standing couples — have officially confirmed their breakup on June 9, 2026. After 14 years together, the news has left fans across the world stunned and heartbroken.

K-Drama’s Most Beloved Couple Breakup

What Both Agencies Said

Both sides confirmed the news on the same day, keeping their statements brief and respectful.

Sooyoung’s agency SARAM Entertainment confirmed the split, noting that the two have chosen to remain good colleagues going forward. Jung Kyung Ho’s agency Management Allum also verified the breakup, adding that as it is a private matter, they were unable to share further details.

No drama. No conflict. Just two busy people who quietly grew apart — and that, somehow, makes it even sadder.

The End of a 14-Year Love Story

Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung were widely regarded as one of K-entertainment’s most representative long-term couples. They first got together in 2012, and after dating rumors surfaced, they officially acknowledged their relationship publicly in January 2014 — a rare and brave move in an industry where celebrity relationships are often kept intensely private.

For over a decade, they were a quiet constant in an industry defined by change — attending events, building careers, and quietly supporting each other through it all. Fans adored them not for grand public displays, but for the steady, understated way they seemed to genuinely belong together.

Reports indicate the two gradually grew distant due to increasingly demanding schedules on both sides, and eventually parted ways naturally. There are no hard feelings — just the bittersweet reality of two people whose paths slowly diverged.
