June’s Biggest K-Drama Obsessions: 5 Shows That Owned Viki This Month

As the first half of 2026 wraps up, K-drama fans had no shortage of binge-worthy options. From soul-swapping conglomerate chairmen to army cooks chasing legendary status, June delivered a genuinely eclectic lineup on Viki. Here’s a closer look at the five dramas that captured viewers’ hearts this past month, in no particular order. For more monthly drama roundups, check out the Technosports Korean entertainment hub.

Reborn Rookie flips the body-swap trope into something fresh. Kang Yong Ho, the powerful chairman of conglomerate Choiseong Group, finds his soul unexpectedly transferred into the body of a young soccer player after an accident. Forced to start from scratch as a rookie employee at his own company, the drama mines comedy and reflection from a powerful man learning humility the hard way.

The Legend of Kitchen Soldier brings military fantasy-comedy to the table, following army cook Kang Sung Jae as he stumbles into a mysterious quest system that pushes him toward becoming a legendary chef. It’s a quirky blend of barracks humor and culinary ambition that’s clearly struck a chord with audiences this month.

Fifties Professionals takes a different route entirely, leaning into action-comedy with three middle-aged men who were once formidable in their respective fields. Exiled to a remote island after a mysterious incident, they’re pulled back into action to uncover the truth behind a fateful event from a decade ago. With a strong ensemble cast, it’s proof that mid-life protagonists can carry just as much tension and charm as their younger counterparts.

Love Class 3 continues the popular BL campus romance franchise, following four young men balancing their K-pop ambitions with budding romance. As the third installment in the series, it builds on an established fanbase while delivering the emotional beats the franchise is known for.

Filing for Love rounds out the list with a classic office rom-com setup: a once-celebrated audit team ace gets demoted to handling internal misconduct cases, only to clash and connect with a tough, secretive team leader. It’s a workplace dynamic that taps into familiar enemies-to-lovers chemistry while keeping things grounded in corporate drama. Office-based romantic comedies have long been a staple of the broader romantic comedy genre, and this entry brings a distinctly Korean drama sensibility to that formula.
