A Promising Premise That Couldn’t Find Its Footing

Juhi Mui entered Colors’ fiction lineup with a distinctive hook: a loose adaptation of the beloved Korean legal drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, known internationally for its heartfelt, character-first storytelling. On paper, it was a bold, differentiated addition to a genre typically crowded with family sagas and saas-bahu dynamics. In practice, that ambition wasn’t enough to hold an audience.

Why The Show Struggled

According to reports, Juhi Mui ran into trouble almost immediately after launch, coinciding with a TRP blackout period that made it difficult to gauge or capitalize on early viewership momentum. Even as digital sampling numbers came in, the show failed to convert that curiosity into sustained, loyal television viewership — a gap that ultimately sealed its fate. With momentum never quite building, Colors is understood to have moved quickly to wind the show down rather than let it run its course.

The show’s final shoot has reportedly been scheduled for September 9, bringing a quiet, early close to what had been positioned as a character-driven format meant to stand out from the network’s usual offerings.

What’s Replacing It?

As is standard practice for a struggling weekday slot, Colors isn’t expected to leave the gap empty for long. Reports suggest two titles are currently circulating as likely replacements: Shayad Yahi Hai Pyaar and Mera Sindoor, both expected to compete for the newly available slot in the network’s fiction schedule.

A Familiar Story In Indian Television

Juhi Mui’s swift cancellation is a reminder of just how unforgiving daily television scheduling can be. Even shows built around a strong, differentiated concept need to convert curiosity into consistent viewership within a matter of weeks — and increasingly, digital buzz alone isn’t proving to be enough to keep a show alive on linear television.

What This Means For The Cast

For Eisha Singh and Vijayendra Kumeria, the early wrap means a quicker-than-expected turnaround before their next projects. Given the pace at which Hindi television recasts and relaunches, don’t be surprised if both actors resurface in new roles sooner rather than later.

As Colors moves swiftly to fill the slot, Juhi Mui’s brief run stands as another example of how quickly the fiction landscape can shift when a promising idea doesn’t translate into the ratings a network needs.
