The Upcoming Movie: Jailer

Rajini’s most recent appearance was in the 2021 film “Annaatthe.” The movie took off with an impressive start at the box office, only to experience a rapid decline in momentum due to unfavorable reviews, both from critics and the audience alike. However, the entry of director Nelson has sparked renewed hope among fans, who are eagerly anticipating an electrifying comeback, eagerly awaiting their beloved star’s dynamic portrayal of “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian.

Turning our attention to the box office figures, “Jailer” has outshined the day one advance booking collections of “Varisu,” becoming the most significant Tamil film of 2023 in terms of opening-day ticket sales. To provide context, the Vijay-starrer “Varisu” had managed to rake in ticket sales worth a substantial 11.49 crores gross (according to Sacnilk) on its opening day. Remarkably, this milestone has been effortlessly surpassed by the Rajinikanth-led “Jailer.”

According to the latest update, “Jailer” has impressively crossed the 13 crore mark in advance booking for day one. Currently, the film has accumulated ticket sales worth a remarkable 13.10 crores gross (excluding blocked seats) across the nation. This feat is undeniably monumental, and considering the staggering pace, experts anticipate that the film’s opening day advance booking could effortlessly surpass the 15 crore mark, cementing its status as a colossal box office triumph.
