IU and Heo Nam Jun Are Teaming Up Again — And Fans Already Know Why

Some on-screen pairings just work, and agencies know it too. IU and actor Heo Nam Jun are officially reuniting for her next music video, confirming what fans had already been speculating.

What’s Confirmed

On July 11, Heo Nam Jun’s agency H.SOLID confirmed he will star in the music video for the title track of IU’s upcoming album, with filming set to take place next month. This isn’t their first collaboration — Heo Nam Jun previously appeared in IU’s music video for “Never Ending Story,” the title track from her 2025 remake album A Flower Bookmark, Pt. 3.

IU’s new album is reportedly slated for a September release, which means fans won’t have to wait too long to see the pair back together on screen.

IU and Heo Nam Jun: Overview

Why Fans Are Excited?

Repeat MV collaborations aren’t common in K-pop unless there’s genuine chemistry worth building on. The fact that IU’s team brought Heo Nam Jun back for a second music video, rather than casting someone new, suggests their previous pairing resonated strongly enough to repeat. It also adds an extra layer of anticipation to an album that’s already generating buzz months ahead of release.

IU remains one of the most consistently successful acts in K-pop, and her music videos have historically leaned into strong narrative and casting choices rather than just performance — something this reunion continues to build on.
