NVIDIA Ampere GPU appears on Geekbench with 7,936 CUDA cores

There’s a lot of hype going over NVIDIA’s upcoming RTX 3000 series or “Ampere” GPUs and as its launch approaches, more updates do we get overtime. Obviously, the naming scheme of NVIDIA seemed to be in doubts as there are multiple reports that this time the name of their flagship gaming GPU could be RTX 3090 but these leaks were not convincing.

Until now, as Videocardz has brought to the attention, originally spotted by @kopite7kimi, a GPU has recently been certified by National Radio Research Agency in South Korea (RRA) and the model is equipped with a PG133 board. We have heard multiple references of this board that is designed for the upcoming GA102 based graphics cards, on the other hand, the PG132 board will be assigned to Add-in-Board partners (AIBs).

Is it the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 that gets certified in South Korea?

The PG133A seems to be a Founders Edition card the PG133 board design and as Videocardz says, it is not likely to be used by Quadro series. Most probably in its September 1st launch, NVIDIA will unveil its flagship GPUs as in the RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and the speculated RTX 3090 GPUs while the RTX 3060 is rumored to be launching in November this year.

Wccftech is also convinced that the PG133A could be the RTX 3090 Founders Edition (FE). This notion is based is because they had already revealed the RTX 3070 and RTX 3080 FE GPUs to feature PG136 boards. However, soon, in over a week now we will get to experience the next-gen graphics cards from NVIDIA based 7nm process with significant improvements over last-gen.
