Gaming enthusiasts eagerly awaiting Kyle Crane’s return in Dying Light: The Beast are wondering about Nintendo Switch availability. Here’s everything you need to know about platform compatibility and release details.

Current Platform Status for Dying Light: The Beast

Dying Light: The Beast will release on September 19, 2025 for PC (Steam and Epic Game Store), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately for Nintendo fans, the current lineup doesn’t include Nintendo Switch or the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.

Platform Availability Breakdown

Why Nintendo Switch Isn’t Getting The Beast (Yet)

The FAQs also mention that the former platforms are a priority, which could explain why the game is not headed to Nintendo Switch 2. Techland is focusing on current-generation consoles to deliver the best possible experience for this ambitious standalone expansion.

The decision likely stems from technical limitations. Dying Light: The Beast features enhanced graphics, larger environments, and more complex gameplay mechanics that may challenge the Switch’s hardware capabilities.

Nintendo Switch Gaming Alternatives

While The Beast isn’t coming to Switch, Nintendo fans aren’t left empty-handed:

Available Dying Light Games:

• Dying Light: Definitive Edition – The complete original experience
• Dying Light 2 Stay Human – Cloud Version – Available through cloud streaming

What About Nintendo Switch 2?

While you can’t play the sequel on Nintendo Switch it is, along with the 2015 original, Steam Deck compatible. After speaking with Smektala, we have reason to believe that The Beast might be, too. Techland has shown interest in the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, calling the prospect “certainly intriguing.”

The enhanced hardware of Nintendo Switch 2 could potentially support Dying Light: The Beast, but no official announcements have been made.
