iQOO Neo 9 Series to Hit Chinese Markets in the Coming Month

The forthcoming iQOO Neo 9 series is anticipated to make its debut in China next month, featuring both a base and a pro model. This new series is poised to succeed the iQOO Neo 8 lineup, which comprises the iQOO Neo 8 and iQOO Neo 8 Pro models.

Although the official confirmation from the company is still pending, speculation suggests that the iQOO Neo 9 models will introduce significant upgrades compared to their predecessors. Adding to the anticipation, a prominent tipster, Digital Chat Station, has shared insights into the camera specifications of what is believed to be the iQOO Neo 9 models.

In a Weibo post, the tipster hinted that an upcoming iQOO smartphone is expected to feature a noteworthy 1.49-inch Sony IMX920 50-megapixel primary rear camera sensor. While the leak did not specify the model’s name, considering the company’s product launch cycle, it is presumed to be one of the iQOO Neo 9 models.

Furthermore, a recent report from GSMChina has suggested that the iQOO Neo 9 series might see its official release within the first quarter of 2024. The base iQOO Neo 9 is rumored to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

These smartphones are rumored to have quality AMOLED displays and support fast charging capabilities. The operating system is expected to be either FunTouchOS 14 or OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, with some variations depending on the region. As per the report the entry-level model has been identified in the IMEI database with the model number V2338A while the premium option is listed as V2339A.

It’s worth mentioning that iQOO recently introduced its flagship iQOO 12 series consisting of two models. iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro. The starting price for the iQOO 12 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is CNY 3,999 (around ₹45,000) while the iQOO 12 Pro begins at CNY 4,999 (₹57,000) for its configuration of 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.
